We had a very nice day, clear blue skies and not too warm. We were married at the town hall park in Avon, which was one of my favorite places. Guests in attendance included my parents, the park’s resident turtles, and a heron.
After lunch my parents went back to Iowa and we proceeded to downtown Indianapolis, where we checked into the 29th floor of the JW Marriot and I changed outfits like a true celebrity.
And now, the moment we have all been waiting for: The Chicken Limo. I had been wanting to ride in the Chicken Limo for literally years, and this was finally my chance.
Our driver picked us up and we tooled around a bit; took the traditional “photo at the monument” required of all newly-married couples and then proceeded to Sun King Brewery for an Oktoberfest. (Note to anyone wondering how I picked my party colors–Bavarian Sky Blue and Hops Green. Aha!)
We finished up our day at the HopCat in Broad Ripple for All The Beers That Cannot Be Made In Germany, poutine, and burgers (served with Crack Fries).
