Yesterday these things jumped me in the Ottostraße (“the big street by the Bahnhof“) and forced me to look at them. The German name is Schneeglöckchen, or snow bells. Don’t eat them. Instead, enjoy the waltz from Johann Strauss the Son. (I see you Iowans bragging about your snow. Harrumph.)
