Christkindlmarkt: Ingolstadt

The theme for my parents’ visit was “Christmas Markets” and now I will be sharing some photos.

On the first Saturday of their visit, we went up the road a bit to Ingolstadt.  Overnight there was snow, and it fairly quickly turned to a soaking rain, but that was no reason not to enjoy a little shopping…

Crepes with Nutella.

And for lunch we had crepes with Nutella–Bavarian food in the 21st century.

I did not realize until I was looking at my photos later how much Santa was everywhere at the Ingolstadt market:

Santa on a bike...

Santa on a bike, zooming back and forth over our heads…

Santa on a sled...

Santa on a Carousel...

Santa on a carousel…don’t ask me to explain because I can’t…

After wandering the market for a bit–and making some purchases–we wandered down the main street, had some coffee and cake, and then eventually decided we were wet enough and headed back home to Freising, where we had a lovely dinner with Roland’s family in his parents’ home.
