Freising Freitag: Alpenblick mit Wolken

Lovely clouds between Freising and the Alps–this photo was taken at the ruins of a chapel on the south side of the Weihenstephanberg, near where St. Korbinian discovered a source of holy, healing water in the 8th century. The building in the foreground is at the Munich airport.

Freising Freitag: Cows

Cows on a hill–next to a high-rise apartment building.  Photographed on the way to the Schafhof on a Sunday afternoon. (There was some video art I won’t write about because I didn’t really understand it.  But it was a lovely walk.)

Crappy cell phone pictures today, because I haven’t been carrying my big camera around much on routine missions. First up: There was a Weihnachtsmarkt in the Freising Marienplatz last weekend–mostly local handmade items and stalls supporting local organizations. Not very big or fancy, but neither is Freising 🙂 So Saturday… Read more »

Freising Freitag: St. Korbinian

Comments Off on Freising Freitag: St. Korbinian

My apologies for delay between posts.  My parents were here for a visit, and I’m taking a German language course four hours a day (plus homework), and I’m slowly unpacking all my stuff. Today’s Freising photos are from November 20, the Feast of St. Korbinian (the German Lutheran church remembers… Read more »
